Nvidia to Intel
Recently, I have been having problems with the video (on board Nvidia GeForce4 MX) locking up the computer. If I go into Safe Mode, everything works fine. If I boot into Normal Mode, I also went to the HP and Nvidia websites and downloaded/installed their latest video drivers, and that did not help either.

Took the plunge... got GF4... a little dissapointment...

your xorg.conf and change the driver manually if needed. I inserted the intel driver in xorg.conf but it made no difference. Am I missing something or do I have to go back to Nvidia to get some decent video speed? FWIW, I find the nvidia driver to be worth the little effort required.

I was running an older Nvidia card but got tired of trying to keep the driver up to the kernel. Am I missing something or do I have to go back to Nvidia to get some decent video speed? Have you tried both EXA and XAA? I assume they'd have to go into xorg.conf somehow..how? In section "Device" Option "AccelMethod"
